First and foremost, I apologize for the extended hiatus. I could provide a thousand different explanations as to why I abandoned the Slimy Thief this long. Still, I will state that the main: Sadly, my hard drive (where I kept decades of my work and all of my slimy thief content) was damaged beyond recovery. This hard drive contained high-definition quality of all the comic book strips and illustrations I posted on here and additional plans I had for the web series, such as animations and games in development. Without this material, a lot of my motivation was gone, but I am not the type of person to leave things incomplete.
I am still attempting to recover my hard drive content. However, I have been told by a few professionals that may not be possible.
So, here is what my current plan is:
– Start releasing 1 comic strip per week on Slimy Thief or Illustrations starting January 2021 to finish the story arc.
– If I can recover the contents of my hard drive during this time, I am willing to continue the webcomic properly by finishing each character’s storyline.
– Without the hard drive being recovered, I will only finish the current story arc. (The Heroes)
2020 has been challenging for many of us due to the pandemic, but I am hopeful for a better 2021. Thank you to all who have continued to support me.
